I am a Syilx and Anishnabe Multi-disciplinary artist from Lower Similkameen Indian Band and Missisaugas of Scugog Island. As a story teller using both traditional and contemporary mediums, my work promotes living by our cultural values of wisdom, love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility, and truth in all relationships. The focus of my work is a tap into my genetic legacy and use the tools we have been given by Creator to maintain balance.

An elder once told me, "The purpose in life is to find your gifts inside and to share them with the people." My stories help bridge the gap between a traditional and contemporary world. Working mainly with leather, and also contemporary materials allows me as an artist to explore creative expression. As a singer, and a writer I create stories that reflect how far we have come as Indigenous people. Once created, my work belongs to the people; interpretation is based upon their perception and where they are at in their lives.
